Five Drawings
This drawing, which I title egg shaker and punching nun, is a combination of two thoughts, the first is inspired by a carton of eggs I bought today at a local farmer's market, and absent mindedly shoved into a bookbag in front of a large water bottle. Later, as I rustled into the bag, one broken egg ran its whites, or clears, all about the basin of the canvas. I said "F"(not the letter, but the word) to myself, as a young woman and her child in a stroller walk by and smile. I think the town I was in, Milburn, NJ, has some open minded folks. So as i walked back to my car, holding the eggs in my hand as if it were a shaker percussion instrument, I realized that it would indeed make an excellent instrument for the right drum circle. And, in response to the illustration friday topic, as listed last friday, June 13, "Punchline" I recalled an old favorite from the local joke store. Also, on the top right is rehaps a design for a kite or multicolored paper airplane. I censored myself so that I don't alienate anyone.
These are appropriations of drawings in a book on endangered and extinct animals.
As seen in more recent political/legislative documents, I decided to edit,(redact) any private information with pieces of newsprint and glue. As an afterthought, the pieces combine with the image to form a collage. The building structure is inspired by Samuel Mockbee and the Rural Studio.

little six
These paintings are around the size of a domino. Some are very close to completion, some aren't. I am starting to get the hang of the digital camera.
